Let's Light Some Lanterns

Let's pour some red wine... since I've been so ill I've not had any and today Easter Day seems like a good day for a toast. Anyone?
Lets have a feast on this Easter Sunday...
My beloved hen died in my arms today. She was only a year and a half. She went to bed healthy last night... I will miss her deeply.

  1. I am glad you are feeling well enough again to have some wine, but so sad about your beloved hen! She was so beautiful and obviously well loved! Sending a big hug and lots of love! Silke

  4. A toast to a lovely bird! She is the most beautiful hen! I'm so sorry she's gone. I know that she spent her time with a most wonderful person (you!) and that in the end, she was in the best place possible: surrounded by your love, in your arms. My heart aches for you. Love & hugs.

    ...and lots more hugs...

  5. How sad that your wonderful hen died.... but I cannot think of a more beautiful death than being held by the one who loves you the most.
I am sure she had an excellent life and that you were a good "Mom" to her.

Can't raise my glass in a toast yet....I seem to have caught what you had....(although I think mine was food poisoning - ugh)! Not feeling well enough to eat or drink much...
but I will raise a glass of sparkling water to all our beautiful Gypsies.

    Hugs,
